Social Work
The first- cycle degree in Social Work prepares highly qualified professionals with social work skills in order to favour social insertion and cohesion as well as the relations with the community and support the national, local and international strategic plans and policies that promote inclusion.
The main skills of a Social Work Senior Technician are:
a) Perception of the social phenomena complexity;
b) Organization, planning and assessment of intervention projects;
c) Integration in social work organizations;
d) Participation in projects related with education and of local and community development.

The graduates in Social Work will be able to work as Social Service Senior Technicians/ Social Workers in:

To apply to the first cycle of studies, students must fulfil the following conditions:
- Have successfully completed a secondary course + entrance examination required (One among the following: Geography, History or Portuguese)
- Applicants over 23 years old (Decree-Law 64/2006, of 21 March)
- Change of institution, readmission and change of course.

- Application : till 28th April
- Interview: 14th and 15th May
- Written exam:17th May

- 2nd phase: (just for left over vacancies):3rd August to 3rd September
