The first-cycle degree in Solicitor provides its graduates with skills for the understanding of legal concepts, interpersonal discharge, entrepreneurship, conflict mediation and representation of legal interests.

The graduate in Solicitor is entitled to work as/in:

a) Solicitor and Legal Adviser;

b) Execution solicitor;

c) Justice of Peace Mediator;

d) Notary counsellor;

e) Estate and Inheritance Administration;

f) Companies’ Legal Department Directors;

g) State Administration.

  • Access Conditions

     

    To apply to the first cycle of studies, students must fulfil the following conditions:

    - Have successfully completed a secondary course + entrance examination required (One among the following: Economics, History or Portuguese)

    - Applicants over 23 years old (Decree-Law 64/2006, of 21 March)

    - Change of institution, readmission and change of course.

     

     

    Application schedule

    Applicants who hold a secondary course + entrance examination

        - 1st phase – 1st June to 27th July

        - 2nd phase – 8th August to 14th September

     

    Applicants aged over 23

        - Application : till 28th April

        - Interview: 14th and 15th May

        - Written exam:17th May

     

    Transfer, re-entry and change of course applicants

        - 1st phase: 1st June to 13th July

        - 2nd phase: (just for left over vacancies):3rd August to 3rd September
