International Conference USUS 2012 “Tourism & Innovation”
As a partner of Alentejo Regional Tourism Observatory, – a Project of responsibility of Alentejo Regional Tourism Entity (TA, ERT) – Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja) is going to hold the International Conference "USUS 2012 - Tourism & Innovation", from the 3rd to 5th of May, in its facilities.
Adressed to professionals of the sector as to the public in general the conference USUS – or experiences in latin – aims at presenting national and international examples of observatories of tourism and organizations that in some way distinguish themselves by the introduction of innovative initiatives in tourism.
In this context the first day will count with the presence of the heads of the observatories of tourism of São Paulo, Cape Verde, Azores, Lisbon and Alentejo to share their experiences and good practices with the lecturers.
The second day will be entirely devoted to the presentation of national and international examples of processes, measures and innovative products in tourism. Already confirmed are the presences of the representatives of Balears.t (Cluster of Technological Innovation in Tourism in Balearic Islands), Gestió i Serveis Trade Center (Barcelona), Enoteca Interactiva do Douro, Bioria, Herdade da Cortesia and Grupo Evidência.
In the 5th of May there will be a social visit in which the participants will be able to meet some of the many emblematic places of Beja.
The International Conference " USUS 2012 - Tourism & Innovation" also intends to mark the end of the installation period of Regional Tourism Observatory, a project of Alentejo Regional Tourism Entity in a partnership with Polytechnic Institute of Beja, Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, University of Évora and the hub of regional companies.
